Las Mamas!!

Hey ya'll we have a very special announcement! As you may know we have been developing relationships with the mothers in our community and our winow to doing this has been through knitting and crocheting. Some of the mothers have made scarves and hats that they would also like to sell! If you are interested in one of these items please contact me via e-mail eastpointmy2010@gmail.com and we will make the arrangement for payment. These women are incredible and brave and so kind. Please support them and us if you can! These are all made by Maria Lopez. This is the boy she babysits, Kevin :)

Hey guys things are lookin' up and we have some new styles for you! Some are like the old, but with some new flare so keep checking up on us to see what's new! The beret (the first pic) is specially made by Rachel so donate to her if you want a beret-- they are $25. The beanie (second pic) is $20 (even with the flower). Thanks ya'll!

We Make Stuff

We are in Mission Year this year and we need to raise $12,000 each by the end of July. In order to raise money we are knitting and crocheting.

What is Mission Year? Mission Year is a one year program that places young Christians in urban areas all across the United States to serve the community and deepen their relationship with God. For a more detailed explanation please visit the website by clicking on this link:  Mission Year Info

What we do: We volunteer at an after school program for the children in our (mostly hispanic) neighborhood. Monday-Thursday we work there and then during the rest of our time we build relationships with our neighbors. We practice living simply, living in intentional community with our neighbors and our teammates, and pursue Biblical justice.

What you can do to support us: We have a plethora of different designs, colors, and styles of headbands scarves, and hats (coming soon). You can look at the pictures, send us an e-mail with your order (this link will help you out) Place Your Order Here , and then send the money directly to Mission Year Pay Here!. On the website you can choose to donate to Becca Loren, Carrissa Amiot, Destry Howland, or Rachel Walters. We will tell you who has made your order so that you can donate accordingly if you like. We can use any color you like or any style you like; after all we make stuff.
